A welcome back message from MJH Principal, Barbie Conrad
I am extremely excited about this school year! What a fantastic group of students we have and I know that they’ll ALL lead with pride…Panther Pride! We have so much to offer our students at MJH so there will be a lot of learning going on and you better believe we’ll have a BLAST doing it!
7th Graders from Mr. Birnbaum and Ms. Spradling's Texas History Class will be touring the former Texas School Book Depository Building on February 26 and 27, 2015. Students will be bringing home permission forms and other information prior to the trip dates. During this trip, the students will be introduced to the facts and area where significant evidence of the sniper, Lee Harvey Oswald, was found. The exhibit presents nearly 400 historic television and radio broadcasts, films, photographs, and artifacts to help tell the story of President John F. Kennedy’s assassination on November 22, 1963. Museum curators will also present your child an in-depth program that details the crime scene investigation conducted at the Texas School Book Depository, including what was in the crime scene investigative kit that belong to Lt. Carl Day, head of the Dallas Police Crime Scene Search Unit in 1963. Students will be encouraged to actively engage in this entire enriching event. A graded academic assignment will be tied to this field trip.
