About Me:

I am originally from Kansas. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Kansas Wesleyan University where I also played basketball before a career ending knee injury. I started my career in the business world right out of college. I worked in the business world in finance and sales for about 15 years. In 2015 I obtain my MBA from Baker University.

I moved to Oklahoma for a new career. I met my wife, Kristy, at the bank we worked at together. We married in 1997. We have 4 wonderful kids. Michael, 21; Ben, 20; Taylor, 19; Faith, 17. Faith is a senior at Mabank High School. As my kids got into sports I started coaching them. Eventually my wife allowed me to start a teaching career.

I have been teaching and coaching for 9 years. I taught and coached in Oklahoma for 6 years. I taught U.S. History, Government, Introduction to Business, Marketing, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, Business Management, and World History. I have been head coach for high school soccer for 8 years. I started the boys and girls soccer programs at Hilldale High School in Muskogee, Oklahoma. I have coached football and baseball. Currently I coach freshman girls basketball and softball.

I am very excited to be at Mabank High School. I look forward to preparing the students for the future. My philosophy is to teach my students like I want my own kids to be taught.
